5 Things You Should Know (6/26)

Posted on: June 27th, 2018 by Tim Garcia

What you should know_ Week 1 (1)

1. Does Hurricane Damage Negatively Impact Your Real Estate Value?

What you should do:
– Ease the burden(s) of grappling with Mother Nature’s fury for your homeowners, by providing
them with the home care, improvement and safeguarding resources they need to keep their
property (and lives) secure.

2. How a Philly real estate agent threw a family she’d never met a huge virtual housewarming party.

What you should do:
– Let this story inspire you to continue supplying your buyers with everything they need to
successfully search for their dream home.

3. The real-estate-ification of the presidential sales pitch.
What you should do:
– Take a look at your own pitch(es). Are they working? Can you learn something new?

4. Instagram’s new hour-long IGTV videos are perfect for real estate.

What you should do:
– Maintain a strong, active presence on social media. It’s (literally) free, extensive exposure!

Speaking of which, here are some of our most popular blog posts on social media:
– 5 Best Ways To Connect With Home Buyers & Sellers On Facebook
 – Can Facebook Ads Increase Listings & Leads? You Bet!
– 5 Social Media Tips You Probably Aren’t Implementing But Should
– More Likes + More Followers = More Listings?

5. A look at the funniest real estate websites.

What you should do:
– Laugh a little. 😉

Hope your week is off to a stellar start,

5 Things You Should Know (6/12)

Posted on: June 13th, 2018 by Tim Garcia

What you should know_ Week 1 (1)

1. “Wouldn’t that make a great condo?” Trump is excited by North Korea’s real estate potential.

What you should do:
– Maybe ask yourself where you draw the line on real estate transactions. Do you ever say “no”?

2. Why Empathy Belongs At The Heart Of Real Estate

What you should do:
– If you find your drive or motivation eroding, put yourself in your clients‘/leads‘ shoes – they’re
counting on you to help them make responsible, milestone decisions. Don’t let them down.

3. New York has fined and suspended dozens of real estate agents.
Here’s why consumers are left in the dark.

What you should do:
– Keep in mind that transparency is critical. Especially with reviews. Speaking of reviews, we
added a featured testimonial section to our new website template. Check it out here.

4. Real estate agent is a hot career again in Arizona.

What you should do:
– Consider moving to The Copper State. Just kidding. With the right marketing to support you,
agents can enjoy hot careers anywhere in the nation. Just saying.

5. Why aren’t we all buying houses on the internet?
Because the one thing startups can’t disrupt is the real estate agent.

What you should do:
– Remember that Seller’s Corner and the MLS feed on your website can and does keep your
prospective sellers and buyers away from sites like Redfin, Zillow, Trulia and the like!

Keep on being awesome, y’all!

5 Things You Should Know (6/11)

Posted on: June 12th, 2018 by Tim Garcia

What you should know_ Week 1 (1)

1. Trump’s Hosts at Summit Are Low-Profile Real Estate Billionaires.
What you should do:
– Hope for the best outcome. And remember you don’t need to be a billionaire to own cutting-
edge technology designed in the heart of the Silicon Valley
. 😉

2. Trade in your house? Startup launches a different approach to real estate in Triangle.

“It purchases customers’ new homes on their behalf, moves them in, and then sells their existing homes for them on the open market with the goal of making real estate transactions more simple – and more certain.”

What you should do:
– Keep in mind that competition is around every corner. What are you doing to ensure your
buyers and sellers aren’t lead astray?

3. Millennials Aren’t Having Kids. Here’s Why That’s A Problem For Baby Boomer Real Estate & Retirement.

“Whatever the reason, the decision of Millennials to delay or forgo having children will have a ripple effect on wannabe Baby Boomer grandparents. No, I am not concerned about Donna’s desire for grandbabies. I am thinking about a far more practical issue – Donna’s financial security.

The majority of Baby Boomers’ wealth is not in the bank, in a pension plan or in an investment portfolio, but in their homes. Despite the popular urban mythology of Boomer life in the big city, more than 70% of Baby Boomers are still living in suburban and rural areas. An increasing number of soon-to-retire and recently retired Boomers are looking to downsize and cash out the decades of equity they have amassed in their homes as a source of income and a chance to live the good life. But how can they cash out without any buyers?”

What you should do:
– Touch base with both your millennial and baby boomer clients. Ask what they’re up to.
Maybe even share this article. Find out if there’s any truth to what we just read.

4. The World’s Largest Real Estate Companies 2018.

What you should do:
– Speaking of companies, are you happy with your current broker? More importantly, do you
have website(s)/marketing in place separate from your brokerage? If not, consider setting up something more independent that’ll help you stand out.

5. Redfin CEO explains why competitors should fear him.

What you should do:
– No need to pay and read this article. Just prove this guy wrong. Provide your clients with
every single service Redfin provides (+ more). We’re happy to make sure you’re all set up. 🙂

Hope your week is off to a fantastic start,

Least Annoying Ways To Gain Seller Lead Information.

Posted on: March 17th, 2018 by Tim Garcia

Below is a quick word from my marketing colleague, Andy Coffaro, in addition to an infographic we created on the 7 Least Annoying Ways To Capture Email Addresses (the coveted home seller emails, in particular). Take it away, Andy:

“There’s arguably nothing more important to your real estate marketing campaigns than collecting high-quality leads via email signups. It’s pretty simple: If you don’t capture email addresses, you can’t keep your funnel jam-packed with high-quality leads that eventually convert to home buyers and sellers.

Snagging emails isn’t as tough as you might think, however, and while there’s a myriad of ways to do so, these are generally considered to be seven of the best methods for capturing them.

Let’s dig in, and make sure to contact us today if you need help with any of the following strategies below.”
